Geary’s and Sebago Are Back

Yep. It’s true. Two of Maine’s favorite and best craft brewers will return to the Maine Brewers Festival this year. We are thrilled to welcome back Sebago Brewing Company and the D.L. Geary Brewing Company!

You know Sebago for brews that come from all-American malt, hops and yeast, brewed with the crisp waters from Sebago Lake. Their popular brewpubs in the Old Port, near the mall, and in Gorham are fun and convenient, and are open late. Kai Adams has brewed beer from Colorado to Maine, and we’re thrilled to have Kai back where he belongs on the first weekend in November — the Portland Expo!

David and Karen Geary spent two long years of planning, traveling, and learning to brew beer in Britain’s best breweries before they shipped New England’s first craft beer, way back in 1986. Now distributed across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states, Geary’s is recognized as one of the leaders in America’s craft beer resurgence. I prefer Geary’s London Porter, smooth and easy to drink, with moderate alcohol so you can enjoy it all evening. David, Karen, and Kelly, welcome back!

Both brewers will be at this weekend’s Bridgton Lakes Region Brewfest, at Point Sebago Resort in Casco. It’s a great weekend weather forecast, and a fine time to taste Maine’s craft beer!

We are furiously mailing the tickets many of you ordered, and in the last few days we’ve caught up about a 2-week backlog, and we hope to work through that by the end of the weekend. Check back tomorrow or Saturday, and I’ll try to have a more-specific measure of where we are. We’ve already sold about half the total tickets. Remember, they are also available at RSVP.
